4 policemen including ASI booked for accused fleeing

SUKKUR: Accountability court has registered a case against four policemen including ASI for escaping from Sukkur premises. Sukkur police had arrested Zia Siddiqui and his brother Nadeem Siddiqui from Lahore. Both the accused were charged by the NAB with fraud amounting to over Rs 60 million.
Yesterday, the police produced the two arrested brothers in connection with the bail application filed in Sukkur. Accountability Court where the accused had fled after their bail was cancelled.
Police have registered a case against four officials, including ASI, for negligence. Police said that both the accused used to blackmail government officials by posing as NAB officers, which led to their arrest.
The NAB has also filed a reference of Rs 60 million against both the accused.
