SUKKUR. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Sukkur Range Javed Sonharu Jaskani directed SSP Sukkur to take more effective measures to control crime and improve security in the city and to adopt a professional and responsible attitude suffering of people could be mitigated.
The DIGP said that foolproof security arrangements should be made to ensure the safety of citizens at public places, strict surveillance and patrolling to ensure effective policing and special crackdown on suspicious elements. He also directed the Sukkur police to improve the ‘information and coordination system’ between various police wings as well as police stations so that the criminal elements can be effectively tackled.
He directed all the officers to make effective checking at the entrances and exits of the city to maintain law and order, to ensure surveillance and monitoring with CCTV cameras to make the security of the city more effective.
It should be remembered that the abducted persons from the neighboring areas of Sukkur Khairpur and Shikarpur are sent to the slums of Shikarpur from where these bandits collect ransom from the families of the hostages.
The police are doing nothing but comfort and hollow narrative, and despite the security established in every corner of the city, there is no decrease in robbery activities, motorcycle theft , abduction, and target killing which can be estimated from the poor performance of the Sukkur Police.
