SUKKUR: 7 power towers of SEPCO high transmission 132 kv line have collapsed which runs from 132 KV grid station Ratu Dero to New Dero near village Tayyab Mirpur Bhutto from location number 12 to 18 indicating the involvement of sabotage.
The incident took place this evening, as soon as the information was received, SEPCO officers along with the staff reached the spot.
As a result of the collapse of the towers, 8 feeders of 11 KV coming out of 132 KV grid station New Dero were disconnected, including 11 KV feeders City-I, City-II, City-III, City-IV, Shaheed Benazir. Bhutto, Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Izzatji Wandh and New Express feeders are included.
Press release issued by SEPCO spokesperson stated that Efforts were on to provide an alternative power supply to the areas where the power supply has been suspended and at the same time the top management of SEPCO has contacted the police regarding the incident to investigate the matter.
