SUKKUR: Large number of workers organized by the Communist Party Sindh Hari Committee, protested in front of the Sukkur Press Club against the alleged abuse of farmers in Sindh and the artificial scarcity of DAP and fertilizer, the increase in rates and the economic massacre of the growers. On this occasion the members of the Communist Party and the Sindh Hari Committee said that the Sindh government, especially the Agriculture Department, is engaged in the economic massacre of the poor inhabitants of Sindh, the inhabitants of Sindh are dying of hunger. With the connivance of the Agriculture Department and other departments, urea fertilizer is being smuggled, which is a complete injustice. In various cities of Sindh, instead of the official rate, the vendors are charging arbitrary rates and doing black marketing by showing scarcity. The agriculture department, especially the caretaker Sindh government, is silent instead of solving the farmers’ problems. Fertilizer mafia is forcing the poor farmers of Sindh to buy fertilizers at expensive prices by creating artificial scarcity. The fertilizer crisis in Sindh is the incompetence of the government.
