SUKKUR: ASP City Aamir Shahzad has said that in the city and the country where the law and order situation improves, commercial activities get boosted, the businessmen and citizens of Sukkur. Concrete and effective measures have been taken on the instructions of SSP Sukkur Irfan Ali Samu to get permanent relief from the scourge of traffic jam with joint efforts of Sukkur business community as city can be made an ideal city by making it the cradle of law and order.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting organized by Haji Muhammad Javed Memon, president of Sukkur Small Traders in his office.
In the meeting, Haji Mohammad Javed Memon and other businessmen gave suggestions to ASP City and said that in the center of the city Ghanta Ghar, Anaj Bazar, Nishtar Road, Green Bakery, Fariar Road, Neem Ki Chari, Station Road, Hussaini Road, Barrage Road, if one-way system is implemented by deputing traffic police officers, it can be of great help in alleviating the problems of traffic jams in the city.
While in the center of the city, there is a vast area at Railway Mall Godam Bandar Road, Old SRTC Stand Shikarpur Road where the traffic congestion can be relieved by establishing a parking area. For this, the administration and the government need to take sincere steps. Traders said that the business community in the city has installed camera systems in their shops and markets as theft incidents could be monitored.
