SUKKUR: Sukkur residents are expressing growing concern over a recent spate of motorcycle thefts in the city. Despite calls for action, the problem seems to be escalating, creating unease and frustration within the community.
Recent reports highlight two instances of motorbike theft within the jurisdiction of Police Station C Section. Naveed Ahmed reported his black 2021 AFR model motorcycle stolen from outside the Civil Hospital, while Waheed Ahmad suffered the loss of his red 2003 CD70 motorcycle parked outside his residence. These incidents add to a growing number of similar reports, fueling public anxiety about the lack of effective crime control by Sukkur police.
This concern has now spilled over into civic circles, with residents demanding urgent intervention from higher authorities. They urge for immediate and effective measures to curb these thefts and ensure the safety of their belongings. The increasing frequency of such occurrences not only undermines residents’ sense of security but also raises questions about the effectiveness of local law enforcement.
Taking proactive steps to address the rising rate of motorcycle thefts in Sukkur is crucial. By addressing residents’ concerns and implementing effective measures, authorities can restore public trust and create a safer environment for all.
