SUKKUR: Due to concerns about rising motorcycle thefts and the perceived lack of effective police action, residents in Sukkur took matters into their own hands. On Race Course Road, they apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for motorcycle thefts in the area. The suspect, identified as Akbar Ali Meher, reportedly confessed to the residents.
He claimed to be from Jacobabad and to have relocated to Sukkur’s Newpand area after the floods. He further alleged that he stole motorcycles at the behest of an individual named Muhammad Faisal, who then transported and sold them in Shikarpur district. The residents subsequently handed the suspect over to the police.
