Lawyers fraternity protested against Maryam in favor of ARY

SUKKUR: Protest by District Bar Association in Sessions Court held against Maryam Nawaz who had used derogatory remarks for ARY news channel in Sargodha public gathering.
According to details, journalists as well as lawyers have started a protest movement against the threats made by Maryam Nawaz to ARY News Channel at Sargodha rally. District Bar Association staged a protest in Sessions Court Sukkur against Maryam Nawaz in favor of ARY News.
The demonstration was led by District Bar Vice President Zaheer Babar, General Secretary Zulfiqar Malano, Advocate Asif Ali Junejo, Elahi Bakhsh Mitloo and others. The protest was attended by a large number of lawyers, and protesters also chanted slogans against Maryam Nawaz. Lawyers carrying banners with slogans in support of ARY News. On this occasion, the lawyers said that ARY News is a representative channel of 220 million people, ARY News has always shown the truth. Maryam Nawaz’s threats are tantamount to strangling independent journalism, protestors said. If Maryam Nawaz does not apologize to ARY News, then along with the journalists, the lawyers community will also protest across the country, lawyers warned. The legal community will always be with the journalist community, they vowed.
