EC initiate preparations for the next general elections

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission has started preparations for the next general elections. According to sources, the Election Commission is ready to hold general elections in late October or early November. According to the 2017 census, delimitations are being carried out across the country and the delimitation committees will complete the initial delimitations by May 24. Preliminary demarcations will be published on May 28. Objections to the initial demarcations can be submitted from May 29 to June 28, while the demarcation work will be completed and finalized on August 3 across the country.
