LG elections to be held on schedule: Court verdict

SUKKUR: Two-member bench of Sindh High Court Sukkur giving verdict in l more than 38 constitutional petitions filed against the terms of the delimitation of municipal elections, announced that Local Government Election will be held on scheduled period. Giving instructions to Election Commission of Pakistan SHC Sukkur Bench asked to remove objections upto 10th June.
A double bench comprising Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Zulfiqar Ali Sangi of Sindh High Court Sukkur asked for an answer from the election commission’s lawyer, he could not provide an answer on which the court expressed strong anger. Justice Mohammad Junaid Ghaffar giving remarks said that you had made fun of the court and only wasting the time of the court by repeated intervention what you had understand the Court as your office. Honorable Judge removed the commission’s lawyer
from the rostrum to express his anger on him. Assistant Advocate General Ali Raza Baloch presented on behalf of the Sindh government on behalf of the Ali Raza Baloch told the court that the Commission had many errors. It should be noted that the court had directed the Election Commission in last hearing to submit reply in the case of the objections but no reply was submitted by the Election Commission in today’s hearing.
