Rare fish caught in Jiwani, sold more than 10 millions
Sources say that the price of this fish is actually due to the special substance found in its stomach

KARACHI: Rare fish taken from the sea of the coast of Jiwani Balochistan auctioned on Friday in more than Rs 1 crore.
Local sources say that Jiwani rare fish caught from the sea is sold for Rs one crore 35 lakh 80 thousand.
According to a local fisherman, a sowa (locally called kiri) which is weight was 48 kg 500 grams and has been sold for Rs 2 lakh 80 thousand per kg.
Local sources say that rare fish bought by traders from Karachi on auction in fish market.

The rare croaker fish is said to be of great commercial importance and demand for it is high in some Asian and European countries. A special type of matter found in the fish is considered to be more precious than the meat and is used by pharmaceuticals in production of surgical items.
