Robbers shot dead person in a bid to snatch money

SUKKUR: In a bid to snatch an amount of Rs 12 lacs by a person of Chajan community near Bedi Chowk in Rohri Tehsil of Sukkur District, armed criminals on him while he was withdrewing amount from bank, on his resistance gunmen opened fire on him and seriously injuring him.
When the accused tried to escape by snatching money from him, the locals chased robbers and the accused started firing, as a result of which rickshaw driver Nadeem Jatoi was shot dead on the spot.
While three other persons including a policeman were injured. The body of the deceased and the injured were rushed to Rohri Hospital where the condition of the injured is said to be critical and they have been shifted from Rohri to Sukkur Civil Hospital.
Hundreds of Chajan community members protested the incident and demanded the arrest of the culprits.
