Inter-provincial car theft / snatching gang leader killed

SUKKUR: Inter-provincial car theft / snatching gang leader killed in a police encounter here on Tuesday, weapons recovered from there custody, while his two accomplices escaped from the scene.
During the blockade near Rahuja police station site, the police signaled to stop Shahzor’s vehicle, the accused in the car tried to escape by breaking the barrier, police started chasing the escaped robbers.
During the chase, the accused opened fire on the police. In retaliation, a key leader of the inter-provincial car theft / snatching gang was killed. Taking advantage of the darkness of the night, two accomplices of the slain robber managed to escape.
