Residential schemes continue to be established within the boundaries of the Indus River, receiving billions of rupees from the citizens

HYDERABAD: In Hyderabad, residential schemes are still established in the limits of the Indus River – the builders mafia colluded with the corrupt officials of the government institutions and collected billions of rupees from the citizens. Hyderabad Commissioner Nadeem Rehman Memon along with other officers visited the said place where the schemes had been established. He expressed regret over the ongoing development work in the schemes and the approval of the schemes by the concerned departments. The criminal negligence of the district administration, Sindh Building Control Authority, Irrigation and other departments in Hyderabad, negligence and greed have allowed dozens of residential schemes on the borders of the Indus River. On the other hand, the development works are also going on by collecting billions of rupees from the citizens, but due to the flood situation across Sindh and the rise in the water level of the Indus River at Hyderabad, the above mentioned schemes have gone under water since last one month.
