At whose request did the cabinet amend the role of corruption and tax evaders? CJ

ISLAMABAD:Chief Justice of Pakistan Umer Atta Bandial had said during the hearing of the suo moto notice of the Supreme Court on alleged government interference in the investigative agencies, On whose behest the cabinet had amended the law of corruption and tax payers ?
CJ said that ECL rules were changed on April 22, 2022 and the names of tax evasion cases of Rs. 10 million were removed from ECL.
He asked the Attorney General at whose request was the role of corruption and tax evaders amended? Has the federal cabinet approved the rules?
He said that according to the Rules corruption, terrorism, tax payers can not go abroad. He advised Attorney General to read ECL section 3 of 2010. On which the Attorney General said that he would present the minutes of Cabinet approval.
Pakistan’s Supreme Court has expressed concern over the names removed from the ECL by the federal government.
During the hearing, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan asked how the change of rules for removing names from ECL could be applied from the past. Will the name automatically be removed from ECL after 120 days?
Justice Muneeb Akhtar asked about the rules changes wether it will be applied in the past?
He said that the changing corruption law by cabinet minister who have to face trial is a conflict of interest.
