Decision to increase electricity price by Rs. 7 per unit

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to increase the prices electricity by Rs 7 per unit. According to sources, the government is in talks with IMF had agreed to increase the electricity tariff by Rs 7 per unit Electricity tariff will be increased by 20 tariffs and quarterly adjustment. Sources further said that the government will also increase the electricity tariff in the next financial year, the increase in the price of electricity should start from July 1.
