District council employees protested against non payment of salaries

SUKKUR: The employees of District Council Sukkur locked the offices against non-payment of salaries, protest sit-in in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, rioting, announcement to continue the protest till the payment of salary, the protest was suspended on the assurance of the DC.
According to the details, the employees of the District Council Employees Labor Union Sukkur left work and took out a rally from the District Council Office to the Deputy Commissioner’s office against the non-payment of salaries. Tariq Hussain Solangi, Sadaqat Zangijo, Mushahid Hussain Phul, Abdullah Chandio Asif Chhajan and other leaders were doing it. Due to this reason, the stoves of the employees’ houses have gone cold, our employees should also be included in the flood victims and they are not asking for any government assistance, they are only asking for their salary. DC reached the rally and found out the problems of the employees and assured the employees that, God willing, the management will play its full role in releasing the salaries of the employees soon. They also demanded the Secretary Local Government, Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani and other higher officials to take notice of the process of non-payment of salaries and demanded the release of salaries as soon as possible.
