SUKKUR: As dengue has started rearing its head and creating fear that the vector-borne illness is likely to affect a large segment of population in coming weeks, mosquitoes carrying malaria pathogens seemed to have expanded their range with reports of more than a hundred cases reported , sources told Indus News.One.
The Health department staff overslept due to the cold and handed over the people to the mosquitoes. With the change in the weather, bees and mosquitoes became rampant in the city and its surroundings. The night sleep of the citizens became forbidden. Children and women have started suffering from malaria fever and other deadly diseases.
Due to the fear of dengue virus, people in the are forced to buy lotions and sprays from medical stores, while the vendors have also increased their prices due to the increase in demand for mosquito nets.
According to the details, due to the negligence of the health department and administration of Sukkur, the third largest city of Sindh, the mosquito-killing sprays have not been started. , Sukkur’s eminent social personality and PTI leader Madam Safia Baloch expressed deep concern and severely criticized the Sukkur administration. She said that due to poor sanitation arrangements in different areas of the city, increased in the number of mosquitoes, people’s sleep was getting disturbed, people were suffering from malaria and other diseases due to mosquito bites. The administration should take action in this regard.
