ECC approves to import 3 million metric tonnes of wheat

ISLAMABAD: Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) approves import of 3 million metric tonnes of wheat, extension of construction of Atomic Energy Commission projects, removal of duty on import of palm oil, approval of import of 200,000 tonnes of urea from China. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, 2 million metric tons of wheat will be imported at the government level and 1 million tons of wheat will be procured through international tenders. The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) has also approved an extension in the construction of two projects, the purpose of which is to ensure a loan of 383 million from China. Final approval to abolish import duty on Palm oil will be sought from the Federal Cabinet
