K.B Shaikh
SUKKUR: Flood victims in Sindh, including Sukkur, have been in relief camps for more than two months, but the people have complained of Sind as well as Federal government for not providing rehabilitation assistance to the victims, and the victims are still lacking basic amenities.
In the labor colony of Sukkur, the government has set up tents, but due to the lack of washrooms and sanitation, various diseases have broken out and the daily deaths due to hunger and poverty are still continuing.
Nowadays, the flood victims are becoming victims of severe problems with the arrival of winter. No provision is being made, provision of unhigenic food in the camps now leads to diseases like stomach, gastroenteritis, malaria.
