SUKKUR: A high-speed coach overturned near Rohri, 8 people including women and children were killed, more than 20 were injured, many of the injured were in a critical condition, an emergency was declared in Rohri Hospital.
According to the details, a high-speed passenger coach going from Swat to Karachi at the interchange located near Piyala Hotel on the motorway near Rohri, while taking a turn, went out of control of the driver and fell into a ravine, as a result of which the coach overturned. It was completely destroyed and 8 people including four women and two children in the coach died on the spot while more than 20 people including women and children were injured. By starting rescue activities, the bodies of the deceased and the injured were immediately taken to Rohri Hospital, where an emergency was already imposed on the report of the accident.
The condition of several of the injured is said to be critical, due to which there is a fear of an increase in the number of casualties. And they completed the rescue operation by removing the wreckage of the coach with the help of cranes.
