ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said on Sunday that it is not easy to get out of the quagmire in which former Prime Minister Imran Khan has trapped us.
According to him, Tehreek-e-Insaaf itself has said that we have taken the country hostage. According to him, if Imran Khan’s government had not gone, then today the country would have been divided economically.
According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, all parties involved in the ruling coalition will give a briefing on Tuesday and Wednesday. He said that everyone has to play a role to move the country forward.
According to him, the US and the IMF are still the pillars of our economy, but our plan for the future is to develop economic relations with China. According to him, CPEC is a link in this chain. According to him, CPEC is not just a road name but a complete economic plan, which includes energy projects and industries. According to him, those who were building new economic pillars are now in danger.
He named the Gwadar and Chabahar ports on which the work could not proceed.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Imran Khan was given money from Abraaj only for this reason to make CPEC fail. He said that he thinks that voting for PTI is like destroying the country.
