SUKKUR: Illegal power connections at private homes in unapproved housing colonies in Rohri, Sukkur and Khairpur unearthed.
The scribe received proof that electricity connections in these colonies were provided with the assistance of officials from the Sukkur (SEPCO).
SEPCO higher authorities must take action against officials involved in the scandal and cases should be registered against them.
It has been revealed that the owners of several housing schemes fraudulently sanctioned outside connections and took electricity inside the housing scheme and made it appear to the allottees that the housing scheme had electricity. Thus, after selling the plots, the developers disappeared and the people buying the plots in their housing schemes were faced with problems and difficulties.
In this situation, the developers who have taken connections in illegal schemes have become frenzied and are using all tactics to save their illegal connections and are trying to pressurize Sepco officials and bribe them through various forums.
In this regard, Additional Chief Engineer SEPCO Sukkur Circle Manzoor Soomro says that the connections of all illegal housing schemes will be cut off and action will be taken against the involved employees as per the rules and any kind of tactics and pressure in this regard will not be taken into account and action will be taken as per rules.
