Kali Mata temple, in a historical perspective

SUKKUR: Around at distance of 7 km from Sukkur and Rohri is the temple of Kali Mata located in the mountains of Aror.
Sukkur Kali Mata which is also known as Sheeranwali can be reached from Rohri to Aror area only after getting your own car or rent a car to reach the temple. After reaching the precincts of the temple, the worshipers, after meeting the priest, worship Kali Mata and bow their heads.
Those who come from far-flung areas of worship include men, women and children whose food and drink is managed by the temple for which a kitchen has been set up. In Hindu language it is called Bhandara where food is prepared for the pilgrims and The food is distributed among the devotees without any discrimination.

The existence of which is more than 1 million years old. The priest of the temple said that there used to be a deity who used to kill the mourners and drink their blood.

There are 108 names of Kali Mata. There is written in book of Hindus that Mata is also called Kali Mata Sheeranwali, Darga Maa. The first birth is in the form of Sati and the second birth is in the form of Parvati.
She rode on lions and reached Calcutta from Azad Kashmir. The Hindus believe that the lioness Mata was given so much power by God that the mountains gave way to her. There is only one mountain through which Mata reached Azad Kashmir.
Devotees have to bow down inside the temple and go to worship. There are idols of Kali Mata where people come for worship and sing bhajans after the puja.
The temple of Kali-Mata has been built at the place from which Kali-Mata had been left. The festival of Kali Mata takes place on the night of the fourteenth of September. This is the inner part of the temple where the Sheeranwali temple has been built and there is a cave-like mountain where darkness stays for 24 hours. Light has been arranged inside for the convenience of the worshipers.
