Dr Abdul Waheed Mastoi
SUKKUR: The caretaker Provincial Minister of Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Rehabilitation Sindh Muhammad Mubeen Jumani has said that a Karachi-style operation against illegal buildings in Sukkur will be launched in the next one to two days. I regret that the amount of OZT received by Sukkur Town Municipal Corporation or District Municipal Corporation or Towns or UCs is met only in salaries.
Soon a third party is being appointed which will not only verify the employees of these departments but also verify them through Nadra and pay their salaries directly into their accounts. He expressed these views while talking to the media after a meeting of the officers of the Department of Local Government, Housing Town Planning and Rehabilitation at the office of Deputy Commissioner Sukkur in Sukkur on Monday.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Fayyaz Ahmed Mehshar, Chairman District Council Kumail Haider Shah, Vice Chairman Akhtar Mehr, Deputy Mayor Sukkur Dr. Arshad Mughal, all the officers of Municipalities Department, Housing Town Planning and Rehabilitation and others were also present in the meeting.
