Lawyers to focus on their career, not just winning a case: Justice Mohammad Junaid Ghaffar

SUKKUR: Senior judge of Sindh High Court Sukkur bench Justice Mohammad Junaid Ghaffar, while addressing the farewell ceremony here on thursday said that, when we started this year more than 6 thousand 771 cases were pending out of which we have prosecuted 5,715 cases.
During the year 3,800 new cases came, we have also got pending cases in this bench since 1983,
Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar told. We tried to run the 2003 case, cases files are so large that it is difficult to read, Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar added. He said that we have to trust whatever lawyers say in their arguments, young lawyers should focus on their career, not just winning a case, he advised.
Judges farewell ceremony was held by the High Court Bar Association Sukkur as Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Zulfiqar Ali Sangi completed their one year term. Justice Arshad Hussain Khan and Justice Amjad Ali Sehto also finished their term at circuit bench Sukkur.
A large number of lawyers attended the farewell ceremony, where the Court Reporters Association was also specially invited to the event.
Bar President Advocate Sarfraz Ahmed Akhund General Secretary Advocate Ali Gul Abbasi also addressed the function. Additional Advocate General Sindh Shafi Muhammad Chandio, Assistant Advocate General Ali Raza Baloch and others also attended.
