PFUJ denounces lodging of cases against journalists

SUKKUR: PFUJ a union body of journalists has condemned the booking of senior journalists Arshad Sharif, Sabir Shakir ,Imran Riaz Khan and Sami Ibrahim in false and fabricated cases.
In a statement issued on Saturday the president of PFUJ Shahzad Zulfiqar , Vice President Lala Asad Pathan and secretary-general Nasir Zaidi said that registration of such cases against working journalists was a bad precedent that amounts to muffling of dissenting voices.
The two leaders observed that such action would create an impression that the government is trying to detering with media through these cases.
