PIA to start Hajj operation by May 31

KARACHI: PIA Hajj operation will start from May 31 from 8 cities of Pakistan, Hajj flights will be arriving at Jeddah and Medina . The Hajj operation will continue with 297 flights from May 31 to August 13. The flights will be operated from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta. One of the planes arrived in Pakistan last week while the other will arrive by the end of this month.
PIA is also expanding air operations to Damascus and Najaf al-Ashraf to facilitate visitors, while doubling flights to Baku and increasing weekly flights to Skardu, Gilgit and Chitral to boost tourism.
The Federal Minister directed to pay special attention to cargo and bring recommendations for its promotion.
