Power theft in SEPCO causes millions of losses to the national exchequer every month

SUKKUR: The management of Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) has caused a big blow to the federal government by giving free hands to black sheep of the department who are busy day and night to get electricity against payment of hefty bribes. It has been found that various union members of operational staff of various Sub divisions of the company are involved in causing serious damage to the company. In this, the officers including SEPCO Chief Executive officer, and Xens of various divisions and other staff have completely failed to stop the electricity theft. Survey conducted by Indus News.One has seen a lot of electricity theft in tube wells, factories, commercial centers in Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Nowshahr Feroze and other districts. Sepco higher management who looked helpless in front of the black wolves of SEPCO union members who are involved in stealing electricity, has made life miserable for the common people, due to which many hours of load-shedding has been started in the cities. Farhan Ali Mako, Ahmad Ali and Other staff of Sub division 4 Bunder road have allegedly been found involved in getting stolen millions of rupees electricity per month from the national grid, where no one has been able in Sepco administration to remove these black wolves since last 15 years.
Like Wise Sepco Officers have also been allegedly found involved in theft of crores of rupees in old Sukkur, Qureshi Goth, Salehpat and other areas so far. SEPCO grid Rohri, 11 KV city grid station is reportedly causing a loss of crores of rupees to the government exchequer every month.
