PPP stronghold’s constituency Sukkur has turned into Garbage

SUKKUR: The third largest city of Sindh and the constituency of Islam ud Din shaikh, Sukkur has turned into a garbage dump due to the neglect, carelessness and inattention of the provincial government.
The social and public circles have demanded that the provincial authorities wake up from their slumber.
Due to the criminal negligence and continuous carelessness of the Sukkur Municipal Corporation, due to poor sanitation arrangements in the city, piles of garbage have made life miserable for the citizens.
Due to the stench arising from the piles of garbage collected on the residential, commercial and business centers and busy roads, the fear of epidemic diseases has increased among the people.
The residents of Sukkur, public and social circles and local political leaders advised the provincial authorities to wake up from the slumber and lamented the plight of the city and demanded a solution to the problems.
The citizens said that despite the complaints, the administration and related departments are not paying attention. The administration is not taking any effective steps to improve the sanitation system in the city.
Citizens, residents of the affected areas including social circles have taken notice from the Provincial Local Government Minister, Commissioner Sukkur, Municipal Commissioner Sukkur and other higher authorities and strongly demanded to provide basic and municipal facilities to the citizens.
