Rally in Sukkur slams India’s leaders for blasphemy

SUKKUR: Grain Merchants Association organized a rally against blasphemous statement by BJP leader which started from grain bazaar Sukkur. In a rally Shabbir Memon, General Secretary of Grain Merchants Association, Shams-ur-Rehman urf malang baba President of Victoria Market, Qari Abdul Latif Panipati Khatib of ancient Jama Masjid took part . Grain Merchants Association Senior Vice President Hasa Mill, Sunil Kumar, Omesh Chawla, Sanjay Kumar, Shafiq Qureshi, Ramzan Abbasi, Anwar kamal Baloch and a large number of citizens and worshipers belonging to minority community participated in the rally.
Leaders of the Traders organisation called on the Pakistan government to send a formal condemnation message to the Indian authorities against disrespect to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The participants also chanted slogans against India’s oppressive state policy targeting Muslims for a long time and urged all Muslims across the world to be united against any oppression.
Abdul Latif Panipati said that the whole world of Islam has been hurt by the blasphemous act taking place in India. No Muslim can tolerate even the slightest blasphemy in the name of his Holy Prophet. This is part of our faith and belief.Minority leader Haaso Mal said that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was sent as a mercy not only to any religion but to the whole universe by the evil elements in India who showed this tragic act. The speakers called for a boycott of Indian products until the country abandons its anti-Muslim stance. No religion allows insulting the religious beliefs of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in India.The government should immediately end all diplomatic and trade relations with India, expel the ambassadors and take steps at the international level to punish the perpetrators of insolence as severely as possible.
It should be remembered that last week, the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal, the BJP’s Delhi media head, made insulting remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), triggering a wave of condemnation at home and from the Islamic world.
