Robbers under police fire: Dacoit seriously injured in alleged police encounter

SUKKUR: An alleged ‘dacoit’ was arrested in an injured condition while his two accomplices managed to flee after an ‘exchange of fire’ between the police and ‘dacoits’ in kheerthar area of A section police station Sukkur, according to Sukkur police spokesperson on Wednesday. According police press release that unlicensed TT pistol and various rounds were recovered from the injured dacoit, identified as Wahid Jageerani, who was shifted to Civil hospital for treatment. Police said that Wahid’s past record was being searched while raids were being conducted to arrest his accomplices.
Police said that the accused are involved in serious crimes like motor snatching, robberies and other serious crimes against whom cases had been registered in various police stations of Sukkur station.
