SSP orders SHOs to control crime in area

SUKKUR: Newly appointed district Police Chief Sanghar Ali Malik has directed all SHOs to take effective steps in controlling crime in the city and adopt a professional attitude to mitigate citizens’ problems. “Effective strategy is vital to control crime,” he said while talking with a scribe regarding reinforcing the importance of ensuring the arrest of proclaimed offenders and other criminals, still at large. “Policing is a service-oriented job and every police officer must devotedly serve the public,” he maintained. He ordered effective patrolling to curb the theft of vehicles. “The police is determined to ensure protection to the lives of citizens. No stone will be left unturned to accomplish this responsibility,” Malik stated. The Senior Superintendent of police Sanghar Ali Malik told reporters that a crackdown is underway on the gangs involved in street crimes and many of them have been arrested in the last three days.
