Store keeper of Civil hospital removed on corruption charges

SUKKUR: In Civil Hospital Sukkur last month due to the lack of medicines in the government civil hospital for the treatment of the patients affected by rain and flood, a letter was sent to the Sindh Health Department saying that due to the shortage of medicines in the civil hospital, more funds are needed. When Sind Government released funds, on which former medical store keeper Lala Irshad Pathan had allegedly sold government medicines to medical stores in large quantity.
There were reports in the newspapers about stealing drugs worth about two crore rupees from the government civil hospital, after which the administration of the civil hospital got into an open fight. The matter of investigation of Lala Irshad Pathan has been started and MS Dr. Taslim Akhtar Khamisani has removed him from the medical store keeper under a letter and an inquiry committee has been formed and now full four medical store keeper Saeed Ahmed Shah has been given charge and the work has started. The Sindh government has formed a committee to investigate against corrupt elements in government hospitals in Sindh.
