Sukkur commissioner reviews food prices, rain response

SUKKUR: A meeting led by Sukkur Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi addressed key issues including controlling food prices, managing rain-related concerns, and expediting SEPCO arrear recovery. The meeting also discussed streamlining the handling of applications by the Anti-Encroachment Tribunal Judge.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Deputy Commissioners of Ghotki, Khairpur, Chief Executive SEPCO, Conservative Forest, Project Manager Ghotki Kandhkot Bridge Project, Survey Superintendent Sukkur Division and other concerned officers.
Commissioner Sukkur Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi directed the Deputy Commissioners of Ghotki, Sukkur and Khairpur to liaise with the Anti-Encroachment Tribunal Judge to deal with the applications in a timely manner, speed up the process of recovery of SEPCO arrears and ensure all recovery. . Commissioner Sukkur Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi said that a report should be given regarding the construction of houses for the people affected by the rains. He said that steps should be taken to set the prices of food items before Ramadan.
