Sukkur police fails in controlling crimes in Sukkur district

SUKKUR: The theft and street crime in Sukkur city is increasing day by day, but the police officers including other officials have failed to prevent the theft and the police have become helpless in providing protection to the citizens. Many motorcycles and cars have been stolen in the area of between two hospitals on Workshop Road in Sukkur but the police could not arrest the criminals involved in the theft of cars and motorcycles every day.
Since the posting of SSP Sukkur Singhar Malik, 123 motorcycles and 22 cars have yet been stolen, in which more have been taken place within the limits of A Section police station, and one car, Mehran registered number 958. BHD, has been stolen, but the police are watching helplessly. Police have failed to trace the stolen Silty Color Mehran car number (958 BHD) model 2016 despite the passage of four days.
On the other hand, Sukkur’s well-known advocate Sarfaraz Shaikh while talking to journalists said that Mehran car was stolen by unknown thieves outside Hira Hospital for four days, but despite reporting to SHO Iqbal Domki and SSP Singhar Malik, but there has been a complete failure to recover the car. A delegation of lawyers from Sukkur Session Bar met with DIG Sukkur Javed Sonharo Jaskani and complained about the theft incidents in Sukkur and demanded DIG that lawyers’ cars and motorcycles should be recovered. On the other hand, the lawyers community will come out on the roads and will be forced to protest if police fails in controlling crimes in district.
