SUKKUR: Mysterious silence of the Sukkur police and related departments, open heinous business from liquor bars in the city of Sukkur. The young generation reaches the brink of destruction, due to which wave of concern in civic and social circles.
According to the details, reports indicate liquor sales continuing in some Sukkur neighborhoods despite closures. These areas include, Teer Chowk, Launch Mor Chowki Road, Gharib Abad, Sukha talah, and other urban areas, which were open late at night by members of the minority community. The sale of liquor has started and the people involved are carrying on the heinous trade of liquor in different areas. Let it be noted that SSP Sukkur Abid Ali Baloch has issued strict instructions to the DSPs and SHOs of the entire district to eradicate social evils.
“Despite authorities’ orders, the closure of wine shops has led to the emergence of illegal alcohol sales due to bribery through home delivery services. These rogue elements are now operating in the open, undermining efforts to enforce the ban.”
The prices of various alcohol products also increased by 200 to 300 times.
“According to sources, bribery has led to a complete lack of enforcement by police at respective stations, allowing the illegal sale of alcohol products to flourish. As a result, a wide range of alcohol products are now being sold to buyers at inflated prices, with no effective action being taken by authorities to address the issue.”
“Meanwhile, civic and social circles in Sukkur have voiced alarm over the escalating social evils in the city. Despite the official ban on the open sale of liquor, Panprag, Mainpuri, Gutke, and other intoxicants, wine shops in Sukkur and its surrounding areas continue to thrive, conducting business with impunity. This has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the ban and the need for stricter enforcement to address the growing menace of social evils.”
“As a result, the young generation is being severely impacted, which is a deeply concerning issue. The proliferation of social evils and the ease of access to intoxicants pose a significant threat to the well-being and future of the youth, highlighting the need for urgent action to address this issue and ensure the protection and guidance of young people.”
