To reduce mortality of malnourished pregnant women, HANDS and WFP’s Melinda Gates Foundation starts screening process in Sukkur district

SUKKUR: With the support of HANDS and WFP’s Melinda Gates Foundation, under the plan to reduce the mortality of malnourished pregnant women and children under 5 years of age and make them healthy, screening process has been started by surveying in different areas of Salihpat Panoaqal, and Rohri.
According to Project Manager Javed Solangi, WFP Project Associate Mohammad Aslam visited various villages along with Hands District Manager Zahid Khaskheli, Project Associate Mumtaz Chana, where they were informed about breastfeeding women, pregnant women and malnourished children under 5 years of age.
Muhammad Aslam said that under this project, 12,000 rupees per woman is being provided to make the mothers of infants and their children under 5 years of age healthy.
