Train crew gang-raped woman in Zakaria Express

SUKKUR: A woman from Orangi Town, Karachi, was allegedly assaulted by a ticket checker in-charge and a man while traveling on the 26 Down Zakaria Express from Multan to Karachi. She was going to Karachi from Muzzafar Garh.
According to details, on May 27, she left for Karachi via Zakaria Expressb and she did not get a ticket at the station. She started her journey by making economy class ticket in the train. When she contacted with Zahid a ticket checker he bring her to a AC compartment, and call Aqib in charge of the train.
After some time, Zahid came in the compartment and assaulted the woman. The woman tried to left for Economy bogie from there for which he threatened to kill her. Also allegedly Aqib in charge train, forcibly raped the said woman, after he left another man came in the compartment and he also allegedly raped the woman.
Arriving at Karachi station, the victim informed the police about the incident on which Railway Police Station Karachi City registered a case against the accused. It was informed that the train crew involved in the incident has escaped.
While on other hand, IG Railway Police has reportedly taken notice of the case of alleged gang rape of a girl in Zakaria Express. In this regard, SP Railway Karachi Kausar Abbas has been appointed as Inquiry Officer. SP Karachi has summoned the girl to record her statement while Railway Police Special Branch has also started investigation.
