Dr Abdul Waheed Mastoi
SUKKUR : Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco) has launched a crackdown on electricity thieves and defaulters in the Sukkur region, on the instructions of the government of Pakistan with day and night operations. To oversee this effort, Director FIA Abdul Hameed Bhutto and CEO SEPCO Aijaz Ahmed Channa convened a meeting with top officials, including Chief Engineers, SEs Operation, and XENs Operation, at SEPCO Headquarters Sukkur.
During the meeting, the current recovery status of SEPCO and the given recovery targets were reviewed. Director FIA Abdul Hameed Bhutto assured the officers that the FIA will provide full support to control electricity theft and recover from defaulters.
Chief Executive Officer SEPCO Aijaz Ahmed Channa emphasized the importance of maintaining a zero-tolerance strategy against electricity theft. He instructed the officers to perform their duties honestly to achieve the recovery targets and continue to take indiscriminate actions against electricity thieves and defaulters day and night.
The goal is to discourage electricity theft in society, and any officer or official who fails to stop electricity theft will face strict departmental action. This move is part of a broader effort to address the issue of electricity theft and defaulters in the region.
