Floods destroyed 40 percent of schools in Sind

SUKKUR: The Sindh Education Department says that the floods have destroyed 40 percent of schools in the province.
According to the education department, 5 thousand 619 schools of Sindh have been completely destroyed due to floods, while 12 thousand schools have been severely damaged.
Apart from this, more than 65 thousand families are living in the camp established in more than 2500 schools.
The education department said that the enrollment of government schools in Sindh is likely to decrease by 50%.
The Minister of Education has immediately proposed a tent school plan, and tent schools are being set up rapidly in all affected areas.
